- What is a “special account”?

A special account refers to an account opened by a company in the name of shareholders listed in its shareholder registry for stock certificates not deposited with the Japan Securities Depository Center, Inc. (JASDEC) due to the dematerialization of stock certificates. Sanden has established a special account with Sumitomo Trust Bank.
- What is the process for selling stocks that are held in a special account?

To sell shares held in a special account, please open an account with a securities company and transfer your shares to that account before selling. However, for shares less than one trading unit (less than 100 shares), you may request us to purchase them directly while they remain in the special account. For details, please contact the Stock Transfer Agency Department of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank (0120-782-031).
- What is the process for receiving dividends?

Dividends can be received at Japan Post Bank (Yucho) or at post office counters. Alternatively, dividends can be transferred directly to a bank account, including accounts at Japan Post Bank.
To change your preferred method of receiving dividends, please contact the Stock Transfer Agency Department of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank (0120-782-031). If you have an account with a securities company, please contact your securities company directly.

How can I request the purchase or additional purchase of shares in amounts less than one trading unit?

Shareholders holding fewer than 100 shares may request that we purchase their shares or purchase additional shares to reach 100 shares. To request the purchase or acquisition of additional shares to reach 100 shares, please contact Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank's Stock Transfer Agency Department at 0120-782-031. Shareholders with accounts at securities companies should contact their respective securities companies.
Since April 1, 2012, Sanden has waived its handling fees for the purchase or additional acquisition of shares less than one trading unit.
(Note) The waiver applies exclusively to handling fees charged by Sanden. If the procedures are carried out through a securities company, separate intermediary fees may apply. For more information, please contact your securities company.
