Acquisition of SBTi certification

Sanden Group's GHG emission reduction targets have obtained SBTi certification in October 2023, as a science-based targets in line with the "Paris Agreement*1" target of limit the increase in global average temperature to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.

Companies taking action - Science Based Targets

The Sanden Group has set a target to achieve carbon neutrality in Scope 1, 2 and 3 by 2039.
To achieve the target, we will promote energy conservation activities such as fuel conversion to carbon neutral, consideration of introducing renewable energy, and energy recycling. At the same time, we will contribute to GHG emission reduction throughout the supply chain by using recycled raw materials and expanding sales volume of ITMS and electric compressors, our main products.

*1 A multilateral agreement on greenhouse gas emission reductions adopted at the “United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP21)” in Paris in 2015.
※What is SBT?
Greenhouse gas emission reduction targets set by the company for next 5 to 10 years from the time of application, consistent with the levels required by the Paris Agreement.
