Tokyo, December 05, 2011-- Sanden Corporation (Sanden) and NEC Corporation (NEC) today announced that Sanden has employed NEC’s Cloud-oriented Finance Service for their global finance systems, starting with Sanden Manufacturing Poland. Sanden will capitalize on NEC’s cloud services to further deploy the system with 35 subsidiaries spanning 19 countries in Japan, Europe, North America and Asia by the end of March 2015.
Sanden operates throughout global markets to promote its top-class automotive system,, retail system and living & environmental system, by leveraging the advancement and reliability of its technologies. With this latest project, Sanden and NEC are cooperating to re-organize individual systems constructed by each of Sanden’s business units or regional subsidiaries and then unifying them into one global finance system as a core management base. Abeam Consulting has also joined this project for implementation support.
Sanden aims to realize unification and standardization of its global business processes and systems. This global management infrastructure enables quick action in observation of IFRS and JSOX regulations, reinforcement of management, business efficiency and optimization of group IT cost. All of which helps Sanden to realize its mid-term business plan of reinforcing global management with new IT strategies.
In recent years, access to cloud computing is advancing due to the progress of network environments, virtualization and security. Under these conditions, private companies need to review core management systems in response to international accounting standards, to level the amount of IT investment for future strategic investments and to reduce the total cost of operations (TCO). As a result, there are growing interests in cloud-oriented services.
NEC’s cloud-oriented financing service is based on its internal implementation of cloud computing for its management system reform, business process reform employing globally standardized processes and IT reform utilizing SAP ERP. Looking forward, NEC will expand cloud-oriented services for companies’ core management systems by capitalizing on its experience and know-how to meet the requirements of a variety of industries and business operations.
