New Recycling-oriented Store Management System has been established to achieve the Environmentally Friendly Store Management

Sanden Corporation has established the Recycling-Oriented Store Management System to match the recycling-oriented society in order to pass our beautiful, irreplaceable earth to future generations.

The first enforcement period (2008 to 2012) of the Kyoto Protocol has become effective this year, with its goal of CO2 reduction by 6%. The legal revisions, seeking to achieve this goal by making it obligatory, require the retail industry severe CO2 reduction. The environmentally friendly store management is expected to be achieved sooner.

Sanden has implemented a consolidate management system fir operating equipment, which are retuned from our customers, based on 3R (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle) in order to meet our customers' environment-responsibility. Also, we strive to reduce the waste by faster depreciation by shortening product life cycles or shorter lease periods, when a retail chain store is going to renovate it.

For the first "Reduce", we reduce costs of the product life cycle costs by extending life cycle by the mean of regular maintenance services with total 32 locations throughout Japan. These locations are 18 of branch offices of Sanden and 14 locations of SD Maintenance Companies and its 6 subsidiaries.

For the second "Reduce", we have our own original logistic system. Sanden gathers products made by other manufacturers at our logistics center, and then delivers them as a package to stores. This lowers distribution costs and lowers the amount of emission gas by reduced use of delivery vehicles.

Regarding for "Reuse", we overhaul (clean and repair) these store equipment to be used again that are removed from the closed stores.
At the Sanden Create Center, store equipment will be carefully evaluated so that we can repair them after cleaning. These store equipment will become like new products. We will keep overhauled and repaired equipment at our center, and deliver them to a new store as requested. This procedure will reduce the costs of new or renovated store.

Regard for "Recycling", at the Logistic Center we inspect the returned equipment and distinguish them into the ones stored for future use, or the ones overhauled and repaired, and or the ones disposed. We are trying to recycle disposed equipment at 100% in future.

Taking the position of our customers and implementing the "Recycle-oriented Store Management System", Sanden offer the full-return key service to our customers. Our service includes order taking/one-time deliver, installation, maintenance, repair records, total salvage, repair progress control, storage records, and products life cycle.
These records obtained by "Recycle-oriented Store Management System" will enable us to develop new products based on 3R (reduce, reuse, and recycle). We will strive to accelerate the creation of a recycling society. We will continuously strive to realize a recycling-oriented society consisted of social responsibility and economic efficiency through the development of environmentally friendly products and systems, maintenance service systems, and one management system of store equipment.
