Sanden’s basic approach to product development in the Living & Environment Systems Division is to
thoroughly identify and analyze end-user needs to create high-quality, environment-friendly products equipped
exclusively with needed features. For instance, the Living & Environment Systems Division developed a rotary
gas burner that saves energy, does not contain consumable parts, and comes with a three-year warranty due to
its high quality and reliability. This environment-friendly burner is the heart of our next-generation Zetas
heaters—this division’s flagship product.
Going forward, we will continue to develop products that are based on the needs of users and the environment while
striving to enhance quality.
In
its mainstay Zetas oil-burning heating unit line, Sanden raised the standard energy consumption efficiency
of two FF-70 series models and the FF-56SX model from 84.2% to 86.0%, meeting Japan’s fiscal 2006
energy efficiency standards and earning these products the right to bear the Energy Conservation Center,
Japan’s Energy Saving Label. Sanden also lowered the standby power consumption of its FF-70 series
Zetas heaters from 3.5 watts to 1.0 watts, reducing average kerosene use by 22.2 liters and power consumption
by 8,300 watt-hours on an annual basis, compared with previous models. In addition, we are moving forward
with development aimed at earning the Energy Saving Label for all 43 types of Zetas heaters, including
the UF-70 series, by fiscal 2006. |
